Rural and Atlantic Immigration Programs

These programs are designed to spread the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities and the Atlantic provinces.

  • Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP): A pathway for skilled foreign workers and international graduates who want to live and work in one of Canada’s four Atlantic provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland and Labrador).

  • Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP): (This program is similar in nature to AIP, though not explicitly listed as a category, it is a key “rural” program). It helps smaller Canadian communities attract foreign workers.
