An Open Work Permit for Vulnerable Workers (VOWP) provides an option for individuals on an employer-specific (closed) work permit who are experiencing or at risk of abuse in their workplace in Canada. This permit allows the worker to leave the abusive employment immediately and seek a new job with any employer.
